Biographie

Après un stage postdoctoral à l’Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal sur la caractérisation des symptômes précoces de la maladie d’Alzheimer et après avoir occupé un poste de chercheur au Centre de recherche Université Laval Robert-Giffard, monsieur Hudon est nommé, en 2006, professeur adjoint sous octroi à l’École de psychologie grâce à une bourse de chercheur-boursier du FRSQ. Il devient ensuite professeur adjoint régulier en mai 2011, professeur agrégé en juin 2011 et professeur titulaire en juin 2015. Ses intérêts de recherche touchent l’évaluation neuropsychologique, l’imagerie par résonance magnétique et l’épidémiologie psychiatrique du vieillissement normal et pathologique (par exemple, maladie d’Alzheimer, trouble cognitif léger, déclin cognitif subjectif dépression gériatrique, variante sémantique de l’aphasie primaire progressive). Il étudie également l’évolution des neuropsychopathologies associées au vieillissement ainsi que la prévention du déclin cognitif chez les personnes âgées. Ses recherches sont financées par les Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada, la Société Alzheimer du Canada, le Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé, le Réseau québécois de recherche sur le vieillissement et la Fondation canadienne pour l’innovation.
